Let’s explore watercolor together as both an individual and community mindfulness practice. Watercolor is the perfect artistic medium to teach us how to let go of perfection, to continue when things aren't going exactly as planned, to appreciate one another's creative journeys, and to find flow. The focus is on the journey rather than the outcome. This is not a class with a teacher, but rather an experience of creativity in community. Zero experience or "artistic ability" strongly encouraged.
This is an open/free experience that will create a welcome space for all who wish to participate. All materials provided and a $5 donation is appreciated (though not expected) to cover material costs.
Hosted by Sarah Schulz and Alaynah Smith, who are not art teachers or long-time artists but are just regular people who have been exploring watercolor painting as a mindfulness practice. Please let us know you are coming. Thursdays / 7:00 – 8:30 pm / $5 suggested donation, BYOB September 19, October 10, November 14, December 12
