We are excited to invite you to our Sensory-Friendly Friday evenings at the butterfly exhibit! These special evenings are designed to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests, particularly those with sensory sensitivities. We will have a lower capacity compared to weekend timeslots to ensure more space and less congestion, allowing for a more enjoyable experience.

March 14th, 21st, and 28th. April 4th, 11th, and 18th.

Here are some of the features we have in place to support your visit:

-Ticket quantities will be limited by about half per entry from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Fridays. Purchase tickets at: dowgardens.org
-Patrons are encouraged to bring their own manipulatives, comfort objects, headphones, or electronic devices to help them feel at ease.
-Snacks are only permitted outside of the butterfly enclosure due to USDA licensing requirements. However, you are welcome to leave for a snack and return as needed.
-Our trained volunteers and staff will be available to answer any questions and provide assistance.
-We kindly ask you to share any accommodation notes that could enhance your group's experience with the butterflies to danderson@dowgardens.org. While we cannot guarantee specific actions, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. For example, if the sound of the waterfall is overwhelming, we can turn it off upon request.
