High probability of viewing ducks, geese, and swans throughout the year. Huge concentrations of geese are common in the spring and fall. Mallards, black ducks, blue-winged teal, and wood ducks are the most common ducks seen here. Wading birds and shorebirds also are very common. There is a high probability of seeing white-tailed deer any time of year. Walk any of the dikes and access roads to get a closer look at the abundant wildlife found at this large site. Camping is prohibited from April 1 – December 31. This property is open to hunting. Check with Michigan DNR for seasons and regulations.
