This beautifully restored and historically significant library was built in 1884. It was a gift from lumber baron Henry W. Sage, who owned and operated one of the largest sawmills in the world on the west side of the Saginaw River in Bay City. The architecture has been described as a combination of French Chateau, Ruskin Gothic and Victorian Gothic in style. It is on both the State and National Registers of historic sites. It is open and free to everyone and includes wireless Internet and public computer stations. Sage is open Monday & Tuesday 9 am-5 pm, Wednesday & Thursday Noon-8 pm, & Friday 9 am-5 pm.
