Birch Run is a community that is rich in history as well as a final destination for a variety of reasons. In our early years, people sought us out for our rich agricultural land and our vast hardwood forests, with oak trees 16 ft. in circumference. Today, Birch Run is best known for the largest outlet mall in the Midwest, a variety of dining experiences, and a welcoming smile at one of the many hotels or camping facilities. Centennial farms, a restored schoolhouse, a historic opera house, an Indian burial site and historic landmarks take you back to our pioneer farming origins. Birch Run also offers seasonal family activities such as an exotic animal zoo, miniature golf complete with waterfalls, go-carts, and bumper boats, local car races or a round of golf at one of the many fine golf courses in the area. The community park offers recreation year round. The “Land of Poz” playscape, the downtown streetscape, and the Birch Run Expo Center, with its many scheduled events, are all welcomed additions to our community.
