Approximately 11.8 acres, the park is located at the north end of Middleground Island and has playground equipment, and an extensive footbridge that crosses the river channel and connects the park to Veterans Memorial Park and the Riverwalk. The pavilion is frequently rented for social events like company picnics and family reunions.
North end also contains a Victorian-style building used by the Rowing Club as a clubhouse, a Boys and Girls Club facility and a fishing pier.
