Bicentennial Commons Park is actually two small parks located on the east and west ends of Veterans Memorial Bridge. The park space provides lawn area with a scattering of trees. The west parcel has a flagpole and a covered picnic table, and is surrounded by single-family homes. The park space on the east side of the river features a 30-foot monument as a memorial to Revolutionary War veterans. The property is maintained by the city, but is owned by the Michigan State Highway Commission.
